Michelle's Expectations

Realizing that I will be in a country wholly different from my own, I expect to have unforgettable, incomparable moments on this trip as teachers and guides lead me through Spain. With an incredibly rich culture and beautiful landscapes, Spain presents a unique environment, in which I will discover the sophistication of the people and experience the breath-taking wonders of the land. As I explore and tour the land, the architecture of old, grand buildings and cathedrals as well as the layout of the cities will surprise me. And, immersing myself into a new lifestyle, I will enjoy unfamiliar tastes and shocking experiences. In the classrooms of the University of Salamanca, I expect to learn more about the Spanish culture and to enjoy this experience along with my fellow Ursuline classmates. Learning the traditions of the people, I will be able to apply the cultural lessons to my immediate surroundings, by ordering from restaurants or talking to the locals. Considering I will be immersed in the heart of Spain, I also expect to learn about the culture of Spain even outside of the classroom.
